Driclor, not for the faint hearted!

Before i start; sweating is normal.

Since high school i had been conscious of underarm sweat patches. Its gross, i know. But when you deal with it every day it really sucks all self confidence out of me and is something that I'm always so conscious of.

Whatever the occasion. If I'm excited ill sweat, if I'm nervous ill sweat, if I'm calm angry ill sweat, apprehensive, frustrated, excited, you name it, ill probably sweating...

I will avoid taking my jumper or coat off where ever possible as its something that always plays on my mind and is embarrassing.

For all these years i never did anything about it, i didn't even go to the doctors although i definitely dwelled on it a few times.

I thought this was so uncommon and i wasn't normal.

I thought that it was just my body reacting to my feelings in a certain way and couldn't be helped.

For all of these years i thought that botox in the armpits was the only solution to stopping this, and all i knew about that was that it was short term and expensive, so that wasn't really an option for me.

I tried spray deodorants, roll on, even the maximum protection deodorants and nothing seemed to work, it got to the point where i thought i could deal and accept that i was a sweaty person (!) so i focused more on the fact that i didn't want to smell. So i would layer on the body sprays and perfume!

I was picking up a new deodorant in Boots a few days ago when i saw Driclor and a few other products that claimed to stop sweating. Instantly i wanted to give it a go.

After reading the instructions of a few products i decided to buy Driclor, it wasn't too expensive (£6.19) and claimed to stop sweating completely after using it for a few weeks.

You apply Driclor to clean, dry skin last thing at night and then wash it off in the morning. You can carry on using your normal deodorant throughout the day.

The first time i applied it, it felt slightly tingly and itchy on my underarms. I tried not to think much of it as i though it must be working and actually doing something, it wasn't unbearable so i put up with it.

However, the second night i had the same symtoms, but much worse. I googled this and although people claim it to be a product that really works, nearly everyone mentioned this as a side-effect, of which it doesnt state on the bottle or in the instructions paper!

I was really impressed to discover that the day after using Driclor for the first time i only sweated the tiniest bit! I was so pleased and couldn't believe that this product could essentially change my life, my self confidence and my wellbeing.

This is something i really wanted to work for me as its something that has affected me for a long, long time. So i wanted to put up with the itchiness and soreness as it will be worth it in the end.

Im now on day 4 of applying Driclor and the symptoms definitely aren't improving! Im so determined to make this work so I'm trying really hard to stick it out, but its definitely not for the faint hearted!

If sweating is a mild issue for you, but nothing that affects your daily life then i wouldn't suggest putting yourself through this treatment.

I will post another update in a couple of weeks time when i've hopefully completed this.

If you've tried Driclor let me know how youv'e got on, id love to hear your experience with it!

Sydney, Australia 2017

A couple of weeks ago i got back from a trip to Sydney Australia. This was my first long haul flight, which (apart from New Zealand) is about as far as we can travel from the UK, so i didn't ease myself into long haul flights! The flights were painfully long and boring, and even my last few days in Sydney before flying home; my mind was consumed with thoughts about the long flights that i was about to endure.
Sydney definitely wasn't what i expected. I had my own picture painted in my head before i visited and i imagined Sydney to be so grand and pristine. Whereas the truth is, the city is very similar to London or any other large city. The suburbs are beautiful, but again there are lots of areas that aren't so nice as well. I guess its like anywhere you go that has good and not so good areas in the same town/city. However i only think this picture had been painted in my head because of the massive hype there is around Sydney. It was a trip i will remember forever and i really did have a great time, but in all honesty i don't think i would visit Sydney again as i feel like I've 'done' it.
I visited in March and April 2017, which is their Autumn. I expected the weather to still be warm and for the sea water to have warmed up all Summer. But the weather was fairly rainy most days and for some reason the sea was so cold!
Nevertheless, below are some pictures i took throughout my trip (minus the rainy day pictures!)

Selling my Public Desire Black Shoe Boots

I just wanted to post on here to let you know I'm selling my Public Desire shoe boots on eBay (linked below). These are brand new and have never properly been worn, only tried on inside on carpet. They retail at £29.99 and the eBay auction starts at £15.00 if you're interested. I've had to put the condition down as 'new with defects' as there is a slight crease on the top of the foot where the toes bend which can't be helped, and one of the zips is slightly scratched. Apart from this they are in perfect condition and you can tell from the sole that there is no wear or tare on them at all. Please have a look if you're interested. Any questions leave them below and I'll be happy to answer :)

Wild Mint Peppermint & White Tea

The White Company

Before The White Company became 'a thing' for bloggers i was already obsessed and loving their products. Whilst growing up my parents home has always been filled with gorgeous seasonal fragrances from The White Company in the forms of candles, scent diffusers and room sprays.
When a huge hype came about this candle i knew i had to try it.
And although 'YouTube Made Me Buy It', it definitely was completely worth the hype.
This candle is very pricey at RRP £27.00 for the small option, however, believe that if something truly brings you joy then you should treat yourself, after all; you only live once! Especially after working hard for my money and having bills to pay, I've learnt the true value of money which really makes me appreciate everything i have. But of course, you don't need a £27.00 candle in your life to make you happy.
You can tell its a high quality candle from the packaging to the wick. If you've bought both cheap and expensive candles, you will tend to notice the small differences in a more expensive candle from the wax being set completely even, and the wick being absolutely central!
I will continue to purchase and love this candle for the foreseeable future!

Selfridges Beauty Advent Calendar 2016

Im so excited to have my first ever beauty advent calendar. Ive wanted one for so many years, but i always left it too late and they would be sold out, or they would be so far out of my budget. Although my always in awe my the Liberty, Jo Malone and Diptyque advent calendars i just can't justify spending that much money on them, especially when Christmas is fast approaching and it can be such an expensive time of year.

I did a lot of research and tried to compare advent calendars to see which one i would enjoy the most. There were two that stood out to me and i was left comparing and choosing between. One of them was the 'Luxury Beauty Your Beauty Fairytale Come True Advent Calendar 2016' (yes, what a mouthful) advent calendar which is exclusive to boots. The Calendar is £85 and includes the brands; Lancome, Viktor and Rolf, Ralph Lauren and YSL. There are only a few differences in the products between this calendar and the Selfridges calendar.

The second calendar that i was deciding between was the Selfridges 'Eclectic Little Luxuries' calendar that retails at £95 and includes the brands; Lancome, YSL, Kiehls, Urban Decay and Viktor and Rolf. Although there are only a few different products in these two calendars and a £10 price difference i decided to go for this one because i analysed and compared them very closely and this advent calendar had more products in that i wanted to try and would suit me.

All of the brands in the Selfridges calendar are brands that i use and love. However in the Boots calendar i just found the calendar to be a bit miss-match and random. I wasn't sure why they put 16 products in the calendar from Lancome, but then just 1 product from Ralph Lauren!

Boots; Fairytale Come True

Selfridges; Eclectic Little Luxuries

Im so, so excited to start opening this. Im glad i was organised enough this year to sort one out well in advance, but now it means I've got to look at it everyday and resist temptation!

Monthly Makeup Bag Rotation

Every few weeks or so i like to go through my everyday makeup bag and change a few things to ensure i use everything in my makeup collection.

In my everyday makeup bag i keep one of each product and my makeup brushes. This ensures i can grab my makeup bag each morning before work. I wouldn't have time to go through my makeup drawers and choose a different foundation, eyeshadow, blusher etc everyday.

I chose this Naked 2 palette to start using everyday again. This has some beautiful neutral colours. The shades in this palette are mostly cool toned which i like to use in autumn/winter. During the spring/summer i reach for more warm toned eyeshadow shades. This palette is very wearable for everyday because of the neutral colours.

I have had this hourglass palette for a while, but hadn't used it for a while. I love that you have a blusher, bronzer, highlighter and face powder all in one palette with a good sized mirror which is always so handy.

This Chanel blusher is one i have found myself savouring. Its such a beautiful colour and very precious to me as its the only product i own from Chanel and was a gift for my 18th birthday. Although I've convinced myself that in order to enjoy it even more i do need to use it occasionally!

Some other products in my makeup bag that I've recently rotated are; benefit brow zings, benefit hoola bronzer, and mac cream colour base in pearl.

I usually have one mascara 'on the go' at any one time to ensure i can use the product up rather than use 3 or 4 at once and wasting them because they dry up.

With lipsticks and other lip products i usually use a different one everyday. I have Mac Plumful in my makeup bag at the moment which i apply at the start of the day, but i usually apply different lip products throughout the day depending on which one i have in my work bag or jacket pocket for example.

Anastasia // Contour Kit review

Ive had my Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit for probably over 6 months now and i haven't got round to doing a review before now. This product retails at £39 and is the powder formula - theres also a cream version which i believe is the same price.

PackagingThis contour kit comes in black packaging that reminds me of cardboard! The packaging isn't actually very durable at all. The corners of the packaging are showing a lot of wear and tare already, and mine has been kept in my makeup bag or in my makeup drawers. The packaging shows a lot of finger prints and has stains from foundation and concealer which is why i don't think black is the best colour for this products packaging. In some pictures below you'll be able to see the marks around the pans of the powders (i purposely haven't cleaned it so you can see what it can really get like!)The top of the product flips up and is held in place once together by a magnet. Inside the product is a plain black area on the back of the lid, this looks very plain. A decent size mirror could of been placed here which would encourage me to take this product out on the go. You can actually take the pans out of the packaging and i guess place them in your own packaging if you would rather do that. However this product isn't cheap, so i would of expected a higher quality of packaging for this price. The pans are securely in place in the palette and I'm convinced they wouldn't fall out unexpectedly. The cut out on the packaging of each of the pans actually makes it really easy to remove the pans if you did want to take them out, which i like about this product because some palettes who claim to have this function are really difficult to remove and you end up chipping the powder with your nail!

FormulaThe formula of the powders is high quality. Each of the powders are highly pigmented and powdery enough so that you can get enough product on your brush without having to sweep your brush around much. When getting product on your brush you do need to be careful of fall out. When applying they are very easy to blend once on the skin.
The product allows you to go for a subtle look or a more intense contour depending on what you're after which is good to have options in one palette. The products are versatile as I've also used some of these powders as eyeshadows and brow highlights which is also why this product would be great if it had a mirror as it would mean you could take this one palette and use it for your cheeks and eyes as apposed to taking a couple of palettes out and about.

Overall/ProductAlthough I'm sure the dimensions of the product are online, i didn't see them! And even if i did i wouldn't of got a tape measure to see the exact size of them! So although i was disappointed with the size of the palette, its probably my own fault! I would say this is a mid-range product, as its definitely not cheap, but there are other brands and contour palettes which are more expensive. For this price of this product i thought the size and quality of the packaging was very poor. £39 is a lot of money to spend on a palette that is small, even if the quality of the actual product is good. Packaging is a selling point for a lot of people. I will continue to use the product to ensure i can get as much out of it as possible, but i also believe there are much cheaper contour kits in the drugstore which are a similar quality. However if you have the budget to spend on this contour kit and don't think £39 is too much money, then by all means go ahead as its a good quality product and a well known and loved brand.
